Our accessibility roadmap sets out how and when we plan to improve accessibility on this website. We will review and update this roadmap regularly to ensure we continue to meet user needs and comply with the latest standards.
Upcoming Improvements
- By March 2025: Introduce 'skip to main content' links on all pages to improve keyboard navigation.
- By June 2025: Review and update all image alt-text to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1.
- By September 2025: Upgrade the site’s video player to ensure captions can be easily added to recorded video content.
Long-Term Goals
- Investigate options for providing customisable line spacing and letter spacing for improved legibility.
- Ensure future PDF and Word document formats adhere to accessibility guidelines before publication.
- Implement accessibility testing as part of our regular development cycle, including both automated and manual checks.
